Hello, I am Sophie
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Reading, United Kingdom.
A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to United Kingdom wasn't in the grand plan. As with many expat relocations, it started as a job chance and soon grew into something far more substantial.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Daily tasks seemed more tangled than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt solid.
